Bluff

Bluff is a key landing port for rock lobster, abalone, blue cod and the iconic Bluff oyster. Ngāi Tahu fishers are an integral part of the community at Bluff and beyond. Ngāi Tahu Seafood's Bluff plant is situated centrally in this southernmost port of mainland New Zealand. It is set up to hold live seafood in pure seawater drawn from the bay, and is export registered for processing. Most rock lobster is trucked to Christchurch, where it is held live until exported.
